Personal Assistant/Support Worker - £13ph - Bristol - BS7

Job Description

We are seeking a personal assistant/support worker for our lovely 13-year-old boy with Profound Learning Disabilities in the Bishopston area. The role involves helping him access the community, build relationships, and explore new opportunities.

Hours and Flexibility

Up to 12 hours per week during term time and 16 hours during school holidays (average of 13 hours per week). Flexible days and times to be discussed.

Responsibilities
  • Providing companionship and supporting access to social activities such as play parks, swimming, and outdoor activities.
  • Some duties will be inside the home, including personal care.
Requirements
  • Car access is essential for this role.
  • A child-centred approach, passion for disability rights, and a good sense of humour are important.
  • Ability to work alone and build meaningful relationships with individuals with learning disabilities.
