Job description

Personal Assistant Required – Glasgow South

Salary/Hourly Rate: £15.50 with paid holidays and pension

Contract: Permanent

Role Description:

We are looking for a young woman with an open outlook who is both caring and reliable, to provide support with all physical aspects of daily living to a young woman with a neuromuscular condition.

She is currently a student at Glasgow University and is also employed part time by a local MP. She has a wide range of interests including editorship of her university newspaper.

Role Summary:

Assisting with all transfers to and from her powered wheelchair.

Assisting with all personal care including taking to the toilet, showering and hair washing.

Assisting with food preparation under her supervision.

Supporting during social and work activities.

Driving her adapted vehicle to her place of work, study and social activities.

The role involves the use of a hoist for which we provide training.

Who We’re Looking For:

Patient and discreet. Able to support without being intrusive. Warm, consistent, and trustworthy.

Must be female

Full clean UK driving licence

Right to work in the UK
