Job Description:

About the Client: I am a young man with Down Syndrome who loves sports such as football, swimming, tennis, golf, bowling, cricket, and enjoys going to the park. I also like playing on my Wii and watching musical films. I am a loving person with a good sense of humour who enjoys dancing, singing, and colouring to relax.

Communication: I have an intellectual disability with limited vocabulary, communicating mainly with simple 2/3 key word sentences and Makaton. I find it difficult to verbalise when upset or angry, but body language helps identify my feelings. I have limited awareness of danger, including road safety.

Hours and Pay: Part-time, 12 hours/week, including evenings and weekends (times to be agreed). Pay rates are £12.40/hr on weekdays and £15.44/hr on weekends.

Responsibilities: Assisting access to community activities and at home, including personal care and social/leisure activities.
