Purple DPSS is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant (PA)/Support Worker to support L, a 35-year-old man with autism and learning disability, in accessing the community and enjoying activities he likes.

The role is on-site in Cambridge CB4, offering 8–10 hours per week at £12.71 per hour with potential for extra hours for respite or overnight support. DBS check, right to work and references are required.

About the Direct Payment Holder

L is a 35 year old male with a diagnosis of Autism & learning disability. He has limited communication & understanding of spoken word but is fun to be with, he is good company but also enjoys his own company and being quiet. He enjoys a variety of activities including banger racing, charity shops, the gym (sometimes), bowling, car boot sales and lots more.

L is very able but needs encouragement to try different things.

Hours and rate of pay

Hours: 8-10 hours per week, can be flexible - Friday, weekends or any evening during the week. Paid at £12.71 per hour. Extra hours for respite/overnight support are available.
