Purple DPSS in Cambridge is seeking a Personal Assistant / Support Worker for Jack, a 32-year-old man with Down's Syndrome. The role is part-time and on-site, offering flexible afternoons, evenings and weekends. DBS clearance and Right to Work checks are required, with references also requested.
You will help Jack participate in community activities, attend concerts and theatre shows, and accompany him to the cinema, sports events and social venues to promote independence.
Personal Assistant /Support Worker
J is a 32-year-old man with Down's Syndrome.
J loves football and supports West Ham United. He goes to watch West Ham at the London stadium as well as many England games at Wembley. J also supports Cambridge United and would like to be supported to attend more of their home games. J enjoys attending musical concerts and listens to a wide variety of music, particularly country artists. He has seen Cody Pennington and Nashville concerts locally.
J is independent and does not require any help with personal care. He does lots of things with his family but would also like to access activities in the community with a PA.
£17.60 per hour
10 hours per week - To be used flexibly; afternoons/evenings & weekends.

PA is required to support Jack in the community, attend concerts, watch musical at the theatre such as Cambridge Arts theatre.
Accompany J to the cinema, bowling, play darts, swimming and the Pub.
J is a member at Impington gym and has a weekly session with a personal trainer but likes to go and use the gym at other times.
