Job summary

Direct Payment Employer is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 89-year-old gentleman living in Burry Port, Wales. This part-time role is 6 hours per week, paid at £14 per hour.

The PA will help him access his community and participate in activities of his choice. The PA will work with him to arrange times, ensure his medication and nutritional needs are met, and assist with mobility such as wheelchair use.

Responsibilities

• Arrange times and days of choice for the individual and PA
• Ensure the individual is taken out around care support to meet medication and nutritional needs
• Ensure the wheelchair is available, folded and input into the car when going beyond the local community
• Accompany the individual to places of interest to him

The individual will access his community as per his wishes

The Individual will be supported to engage in his community activities of choice.

HOW OUTCOMES WILL BE ACHIEVED:

• The Individual and his PA to arrange times and days of choice.
• PA to ensure the Individual is taken out around his care support to ensure medication and nutritional needs are met.
• PA to ensure the Individual has his wheelchair, at times to be folded and input into car if they go out further than his local community .
• PA to accompany the Individual to places of interest to him.
