Job Details

Hours of work: Minimum of 15 hours per week within an existing rota.

Rate of pay: £16.50 per hour

About the Role

Would you like to work within a family environment with a fun-loving child who has physical disabilities? Our son, Max, requires a caring, confident, and fun-loving team of assistants to support him with everyday activities in our home on Southbank, York. Max has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, a great sense of humor, and enjoys watching football, having fun, learning, and making the most of life. Although non-verbal, Max communicates effectively through facial expressions, eye movements, and his communication device.

Candidate Requirements

We are ideally looking for someone with experience in caregiving roles, preferably with children, but this is not essential. Applications are welcome from those who can work specific days/times within the specified hours. We plan to support this role with more than one carer, potentially on a job share basis or as co-carers, as Max requires 2:1 care.
