Job summary

Disability North in Whitley Bay is seeking a compassionate support worker to assist a 16-year-old with cerebral palsy and Autism. The role is 20 hours per week, including weekday evenings and some weekends, with day shifts during school holidays, based in Whitley Bay.

The successful candidate will help the client engage in community activities, support their evening routine, and contribute to developing confidence, social skills and independence.

Job description

Hours: 20 hours a week available which will include working weekday evenings, some weekends and day shifts during school holidays.

Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour weekdays, £16.00 per hour weekends

Car Driver Essential

A support worker is required to work with a 16-year-old young man with cerebral palsy and Autism living close to Whitley Bay. They enjoy going out in the community to visit parks, arcades, leisure pool, trampolining and places of interest around the North East.

This job would suit a person looking for a rewarding career, and who has a positive and caring nature to assist a young man to develop their confidence, social skills and independence. There are part time hours available which involve weekday evenings and work during the day on weekends.

There is also the opportunity to work more hours during school holidays.
