Job Description:

Hours: 10 hours per week

4 shifts per week 2.5 hours on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening between the hours of 7-9:30pm

Pay rate: £13.80 per hour

Area: Gosforth and Newcastle City Centre

About the role.

A Personal Assistant is required by a man in his early 40’s.

You will work as part of a wider care team working towards promoting recovery, keeping him safe and accompanying him to appointments if needed. Although you will need to have a flexible approach to work it is important that you can provide stability and routine. Companionship will be an integral part of the role.

About me.

You will mainly be meeting me in Newcastle at a coffee shop or a bar. A love of coffee, people watching and good conversational skills are important. You must be comfortable visiting the gay bars in the city centre. I have a love of films and at times may want to visit the cinema. This role will suit someone friendly, understanding who loves a coffee and a chat and has an interest in films and art.

Awareness of mental health issues will be an advantage.

An understanding and acceptance of the LGBTQ community is essential.
