Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking a caring and reliable Support Worker to provide 2:1 support for an 11-year-old boy with Autism. The role focuses on helping him enjoy community, leisure and social activities while building confidence, independence and essential life skills.

Successful applicants will support access to activities, encourage social interaction, and develop communication.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children or young people with Autism and/or additional needs.
• Patient, understanding, and positive approach; able to manage behavioural changes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2:1 support for an 11-year-old boy with Autism, assisting him to participate in community, leisure and social activities.
