Job Purpose:I am a young girl with additional needs who is seeking a Personal Assistant to take me out for fun activities such as soft play, swimming, the zoo and the park.

Someone with an understanding or previous experience of working with children with additional needs would be highly advantageous. I like people who are fun and outgoing and someone who can bring energy and enthusiasm to the role would be ideal.

Person specification:Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. My assessment of these, both on application and at interview, will be the main factor in determining if you are successful. Please refer to these when submitting your application.

  • Full UK driving licence and own car with appropriate level of business insurance.
  • Someone who is prepared to access training as needed.
Summary terms and conditions:
  • The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour
  • You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role
  • Hours and days of work: 3 hours per week. Ideally Saturday afternoons but this is negotiable at interview.
  • The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
  • Should this job role include any of the following duties: food preparation, moving & handling, chemical handling (general household cleaning products) or the handling of medication, you will be required to undertake mandatory training.
The post is subject to the following:
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
