Personal assistant for young boy in Keynsham 4hrs every other weekend @ £12.21ph - Bristol - BS31

Are you energetic, fun loving and understanding? Our charismatic 9-year-old boy is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to join his weekend adventures! He loves chatting, role play, trampolining, music, swinging, and trips on the train or bus. He has a genetic condition which presents similarly to Global developmental delay, as well as autism. He can sometimes struggle with change and uncertainty as a result, but he is a great character and lots of fun.

Position: Weekend Personal Assistant
Location: Keynsham
Hours: 4 hours every other Saturday/Sunday
Hourly rate: £12.21 per hour

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and engage in fun activities with him, either in the family home or on short trips locally.
2. Support him with his uncertainty around routines and change, using the PANDA approach to PDA.
3. Help with basic care needs such as using the toilet and meal times.
4. Ensure his safety and well-being.

Requirements:

1. Friendly and caring person.
2. Previous experience working with children with Special Needs an advantage.
3. A knowledge of the PANDA approach to PDA.
4. Positive attitude and creative mindset.
