Job Description:

Job Purpose: To work with parents to provide support outside of home on social outings for ‘R’. When support is needed at home, support will be on a one-to-one basis to give parents respite.

Location: Aylsham

Details: ‘R’ is a teenager with Autism, a learning disability, and complex needs. He enjoys active outings, talking about how things work, cars, and has a good sense of humor. He can be challenging when anxious and requires a high level of supervision. Support includes accompanying R and a parent on outings, ensuring safety in crowded places, and helping with transitions.

Person Specification:

  • Experience with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs.
  • Ability to work within a family setting providing both two-to-one and one-to-one support.
  • Flexibility with working hours.
  • Enjoy physical activity.
  • High maturity, alertness, and confidence.

Desirable: ability to swim, experience working with children.

Terms and Conditions: Pay is £15/hr, with hours 10am-3pm on Fridays and Saturdays, potential for job share, flexibility for additional hours, expenses reimbursed, holiday entitlement of 5.6 weeks. Post subject to DBS check, references, and probation.

Services include personal care, social activities, and support for independence.

Training includes PA guide, safeguarding, and autism awareness.
