ENABLE Scotland is seeking Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to help individuals with learning disabilities and other support needs in Scotland. Shifts run from 9:00 to 17:00 with overtime, including overnight support and weekends.

Support Workers will assist with personal care, moving and handling, and positive behaviour support while helping people to expand their social networks and achieve their goals. A rewarding, community-focused role in a dynamic team.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in social care or support work is beneficial.
• Commitment to person-centred approaches and safeguarding.
• Willingness to work shifts including evenings, overnights and weekends.

Aufgaben

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities as required.
• Provide moving and handling assistance and risk-aware support.
• Deliver Positive Behaviour Support and enable participation in activities and social networks.

Maureen lives in her own flat, and loves living in the village of Blackburn. A typical day could be going to the knitting or dancing group, then nipping to the shops. Maureen likes to go for a walk every day to keep fit, and loves the beautiful Dunecht Estate especially. In her downtime, Maureen loves to keep up the soaps on TV, and she is a whizz at the game shows too. Maureen receives support 7 days a week, from 09:00 - 17:00 an 17:00 to overnight with staff sleeping over. It is not always possible for Maureen to enjoy life's 'simple pleasures' in her community without proper, dedicated support.

Where required, Enable will fully fund SVQ Health and Social Care qualifications – required for SSSC registration
