I am seeking a dedicated and empathetic Personal Assistant to support me as an autistic adult in leading an independent, empowered life. This is a person-centred role focused on practical assistance, emotional reassurance, and respectful collaboration. The successful candidate will work closely with the individual to navigate daily tasks, community access, and advocacy goals, while honouring their communication style, sensory preferences, and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support with life administration (e.g. scheduling appointments, managing correspondence)
  • Assist with household tasks and routines, including meal planning and light domestic duties
  • Facilitate access to community activities, appointments, and advocacy work
  • Provide structured, clear communication and emotional support during periods of anxiety or sensory overwhelm
  • Respect and accommodate neurodivergent needs, including sensory sensitivities and executive functioning challenges
  • Maintain accurate records of support provided, including timesheets and session notes
  • Collaborate with other professionals or support networks where appropriate
