Job Description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.
Job Purpose: I am seeking a Personal Assistant to support me in my own home and to help me access the community. I would like to be able to cook a hot meal for my family in the evenings. I also require assistance to access the community and participate in recreational activities with my family. You will also help me maintain a clutter free family home and ensure I can use the home safely.
Location: Old Catton, Norwich, NR6

Personal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.

  3. Full UK driving licence with own car insured for business use.
Summary Terms and Conditions:
  • The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour.
  • Hours and times of work as follows: 7 hours per week including evenings and weekends (days and times to be discussed at interview).
  • The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
  • Access to free Care Skills training for employer workers.
  • If this job requires Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training.
The post is subject to the following:
  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
