Job summary

Ideal For All Limited is seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) in Sutton Coldfield to support a thoughtful 25-year-old man with autism, anxiety and sensory needs. 38 hours per week, full time, £13 per hour, 2 positions (1:1 indoors, 2:1 outdoors).

You will help with daily living, communication via AAC, social activities, and community outings. Ideal candidates are patient, calm, and emotionally intelligent with experience in autism support and a genuine desire to help the young man lead an

Qualifications

Experience supporting autistic people with complex needs.
AAC experience preferred.
Higher education experience desirable.
CPI training desirable.
Patient, calm, emotionally intelligent, and compassionate.
Enjoys learning, conversation, and building meaningful relationships.
Physically able to support community outings.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support communication using AAC device.
Encourage self-expression, choice, and meaningful interaction.
Engage him in his interests (history, culture, and film).
Provide 2:1 support in the community.
Assist with walks, café visits, and other activities.
Support daily routines, independence, personal care, and emotional wellbeing.
Recognise and respond to anxiety, sensory overload, and behaviours of concern using a calm, person-centred approach.
