Job Title: Personal Assistant
Hours: 4 hours per week to be worked 1 day after school or 8 hours every other weekend.
Rate of Pay: £12.40 per hour
Location: My own home and in the wider community
Purpose of Job: I have been my son’s main carer since he was young. Harry is 17 years old, diagnosed with Autism and learning disabilities. He is a happy, friendly young man with interests in Godzilla, Lego Bionicles, and Sonic the Hedgehog. A Personal Assistant (PA) is needed to support Harry in the community to develop his self-image and independence skills, including communication, access to public transport, shopping, cinema trips, computer rooms, and farm visits. The PA must keep receipts for any expenses Harry spends money on during activities, for reimbursement.
Supervision: Harry’s PA will be directed and accountable to me at all times. You must ask for instructions and not assume tasks or assistance unless discussed beforehand.
Main Duties:
Additional services include social and leisure activities, supporting independence, safeguarding, and autism/Aspergers support.
