I am a lady with multiple sclerosis and am looking for someone who can support me in gaining confidence and independence at home and out in the community. I am looking to recruit someone who is compassionate, will help me remain independent, and will provide companionship. I have a great sense of humour and am looking for someone of a similar nature to enjoy time with.

Location: PE30
Details:

• Helping and supporting me to be independent with household cleaning tasks in and around the home.
• Any other reasonable duties as requested.
• Support in accessing the local community.

Person Specification
Essential:

• Females are required due to personal care aspects of the role.
• Someone with patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
• The person I employ must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work, including total respect for my privacy.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence holder with appropriate business insurance cover.
• Own a personal car.

Summary of Terms and Conditions

• The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 per hour.
• Hours and times of work: 6 hours per week.
• Desired hours of work: Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Time discussed further at interview.
• The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
• Free care skills training is provided to employed staff.

The post is subject to the following:

• A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
• Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
• Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
