Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking a warm, friendly Personal Assistant to support a gentle, polite young man in the Burscough/Ormskirk area. The role centres on companionship and helping him develop independence, confidence, communication skills and social connections at home and in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development of independence and everyday life skills
• Assisting with cooking and meal preparation
• Encouraging confidence around the home and in the community
• Supporting social interaction and communication skills
• Helping to build and maintain connections within the local community
• Accompanying and participating in leisure and social activities
• Providing encouragement and companionship
• Administering medication when required (full training will be provided)
