Job summary

Choices and Rights Disability Coalition is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 29-year-old man in the HU9 area. The role includes 9 hours per week plus 6 hours monthly on weekends, with additional hours for holidays and sickness. You will accompany him to swimming, bowling, and day centre activities, and may drive his mobility vehicle as required.

Training will be provided; personal care is involved. A manual car driver is essential. DBS check will be required before employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring or support roles preferred.
• Willingness to assist with personal care and mobility tasks.
• Must be able to drive a manual car and accompany to activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal support and care as needed.
• Join client for weekly swimming and bowling activities; stay in water when required.
• Travel with client using mobility vehicle and accompany from Cottingham day centre to home.
• Attend to client at 2:15pm in Cottingham and drive or accompany home by taxi when necessary.
• Cover additional hours for holidays and sickness as needed.
