Job description

Location: Rowlands Gill, Gateshead

Hours: Either 3 early morning shifts (06:30-08:30, total 6 hrs), or 1 afternoon/evening shift (3 pm-9 pm), and 1 early shift (06:30-08:30, total 8 hrs). Term-time hours available if preferred.

Hourly pay rate: £15.00 per hour

Job Description:

My name is Daniel. I am 13 years old and have ASD/LD. I am able to verbalize my needs but mainly use phrases to communicate, so you will need to learn my language. I can have challenging behavior and sensory issues, which may cause me to stim a lot. You will need to learn my routine and help manage sensory issues using tools like a weighted blanket and other sensory equipment. I enjoy being read to and like drawing, especially Minions and Disney characters. I live with my mum and older brother. I have a wet room to facilitate personal care, and I wear a backpack with reins when walking, as I have no fear and may not understand the world around me.

I need a PA with experience in managing challenging behavior. We do not have pets.
