Job description

**Personal Assistant / Carer**


Purpose of the job Self-employed pa required for a young gentleman who lives in SK12 area. Client has significant learning difficulties, Cerebral palsy, registered blind, epilepsy and is in a wheelchair. Personal assistant must be a driver and have own vehicle. Moving & handling training will be given, and experience is essential. Good English vocabulary.


**Hours and rate of Pay**
£14.00 per hour
Every other Saturday 8am 8pm
8 hours on a Tuesday (2.5 hours in a morning and 5.5 hours from 3:30pm)
Additional hours maybe required for holiday/sick cover


**Main Duties**

Full personal care
Light domestic duties
Basic cooking
Supporting with medication
Pick up and drop off (45p per mile will be paid)
To support in activities, social outing away from the family home alone or with support of another carer/family member


**Personal Assistant Specification**
Driver essential with own vehicle.
Enhances DBS check will be required.
Assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
My assistant must respect my privacy and always maintain my dignity.
My assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition.
You must be able to work well independently.
My personal assistant is accountable to me in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests.
The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer.
