Job summary

Pin Point Health & Social Care in Newcastle is hiring Personal Assistants to support adults to live independently in their own homes and communities. The role focuses on person-centred support, helping individuals maintain independence and make choices.

We offer £13.45 per hour with permanent 30 or 35-hour contracts, two positions, and comprehensive shadowing and training. DBS checks and right-to-work verification will be completed for successful applicants.

Qualifications

  • Care experience beneficial but not required.
  • Desirable Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support based on individual needs, preferences and goals.

We are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistants to support adults to live independently in their own homes and communities.

This is a varied and rewarding role focused on helping people maintain their independence, make their own choices and enjoy fulfilling lives.

The Role

As a Personal Assistant, you will provide person-centred support based around each individual's needs, preferences and goals.

Your duties may include:

  • Supporting independence, choice and everyday living skills
  • Providing personal care where required
  • Helping with cooking, cleaning, shopping and household tasks
  • Supporting people to access activities and their local community
  • Providing emotional and social support
  • Supporting health and wellbeing
  • Working with families and healthcare professionals
  • Maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding procedures
About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Previous care or support experience is beneficial but not essential. A Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification is desirable, but we are equally interested in candidates with the right values and attitude.

Working Hours

Flexibility is required, with shifts potentially including evenings, weekends and bank holidays depending on the needs of the people you support.
