A local support organization is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant in Leicester to assist a gentleman with domestic tasks and personal care. This role involves shopping and providing companionship. Ideal candidates are responsible, reliable, and possess a full clean driver’s license. Previous care experience is desired but not essential. This part-time position offers flexible hours, primarily in the mornings and additional time on Fridays for shopping.

Job description

To support a gentleman with domestic tasks, shopping and some supervision with personal care.

Hours: 7 hours per week. To support 1 hour in the mornings Monday to Friday, time to be mutually agreed between the client and the right candidate. With an additional 2 hrs on Fridays to take client shopping.

PA tasks: To support with domestic tasks, take client shopping, and some supervision with personal care and operating the shower. PA must have a full clean driver’s license with own vehicle and business insurance. Client will pay mileage.

Client interests/hobbies: Client likes to attend church. He was a Construction Engineer by profession and supervised the building of his church. He is a Piano/music teacher and spends his time carrying out family research on his computer. He enjoys his garden and likes to work on it with his friend. Client enjoys good food and cooking from scratch. He would like to start making his Jamaican fruit loaf again.

Clients’ relevant diagnosis: Heart condition, Asthma and suffered a Stroke last year. Client has some cognitive difficulties and can take longer to retain information.
