Job summary

ENABLE Scotland is hiring Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to assist people in Moray, including Elgin and surrounding areas. You will help individuals achieve their goals and participate in daily activities within their community.

Role involves personal care and moving and handling as required, plus supporting access to day centres, appointments and shopping. No care experience is required; we value transferable skills and a caring approach. Flexible, sessional hours available.

Responsibilities

• Support people in their own homes for a few hours to access community activities and day centres.
• Assist with personal care, moving and handling, and positive behavioural support.
• Support with shopping tasks and accompanying to appointments as needed.
• Collaborate with the Enable team to ensure safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.

We support people within their own homes for a few hours a day to allow them to access community and attend day centres etc, We are looking for sessional staff to cover these services when the contracted staff are unavailable on a flexible basis. As a sessional staff member you can pick and choose when you are available by giving your availability in advance. Some of the support may include supporting a person to carry out their shopping tasks or support to attend an appointment other may require support with personal care and medication.
