Capability Scotland is assisting a client to find a Personal Assistant to support an 11-year-old boy with autism and ADHD. The role involves some personal care, training provided, and regular activities such as swimming and outdoor time.

You must be patient, honest, flexible, and have a full UK driving licence as public transport is limited in the area. Successful applicants will need to provide right to work in the UK and be willing to join the PVG scheme.

Responsibilities

• Support a non-verbal 11-year-old boy with autism during activities and daily routines.
• Assist with personal care as needed (training provided).
• Safety, discretion, and confidentiality in all interactions.
• accompany the client to activities such as swimming, outdoor time, and park visits.

Personal Assistant Wanted -Supporting a Fun, Active 11-Year-Old Boy.

I am a 11-year-old non-verbal autistic boy with ADHD and I'm looking for a kind and reliable Personal Assistant to support me and give my family some respite. I have a naso-gastric tube, and there will be some personal care involved (training can be provided).

About Me:

• I love swimming, being outdoors, and going to the park.
• Music makes me happy - any kind of music!

What I'm Looking For:

• Someone patient, honest and flexible.
• Experience with autism is helpful but not essential.
• A full driving license is required as public transport isn't reliable in my area.

Hours:

• 10 hours per week: ideally 5 hours on a Saturday and the other 5 hours spread across the week. Even if you can only do some hours I would love to hear from you.

If you are successful you will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

You will be asked to provide the names of two referees.
