Job description

Personal Assistant To Someone with a Spinal Injury

MUST HAVE A FULL UK DRIVERS LICENSE, BUSINESS INSURANCE AND ACCESS TO OWN CAR

£15.65p/h

Location: YO7 1NS

Job Specifics:

  1. Encouraging access to the community and developing confidence.
  2. Interest in DIY/Cooking and willingness to engage.
  3. Domestic assistance - tidying.
  4. Grocery assistance.
  5. Fetching and carrying.
  6. Some personal care needs.
  7. Assisting with exercise regime and physiotherapy, which may include attending hydrotherapy sessions or going to a local gymnasium to assist with workouts.

Shift Patterns:

PART TIME ONLY / BANK STAFF

Saturday 6hr day shift.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to complete the physical aspects of the role such as moving and handling.
  • At least 6 months of UK-based care experience.
  • Knowledge of complex care is desired.
  • Willingness to work alternative weekends or 1 weekend out of 4.
  • All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
