Are you a caring, compassionate person with previous care experience?

Were looking for staff to join our small team of carers looking after a wonderful, fun-loving gentleman in his fifties, living with his parents in Armitage. Our current vacancies are for evening shifts and night shifts.

Despite his complex health conditions (including Cerebral Palsy, Scoliosis, Dysphagia and Sleep Apnoea amongst others), he is always smiling and is a joy to care for. Experience in the care industry is preferable, although full training will be given.

During day shifts and evening shifts our carers provide personal and continence care, administer medicines through a PEG feed, provide stimulation such as reading or helping with arts & crafts, and hoist the gentleman between his bed and his wheelchair. Occasionally, our carers may also need to accompany him to appointments such as the dentist or hospital.

Night shifts involve settling the gentleman into bed and then monitoring him throughout the night on a waking night basis, providing personal care when needed.
