Job summary

Disability North seeks a friendly Personal Assistant to support an 18-year-old male with neurodiversity. The role involves gaming together, social activities, and helping build independence in a family environment with pets.

You will help the young person engage in outings, sports, and everyday activities while maintaining boundaries and a positive relationship. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and able to de-escalate challenging moments, supporting regulation when needed and sharing

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people that present with neurodiversity.
• Ability to de-escalate meltdowns and to support with regulation if overwhelmed.
• Willingness to share interests in gaming, sport or general social activities.
• Reliable, respectful and able to maintain appropriate boundaries.

We're looking for a friendly, reliable Personal Assistant (PA) to support an 18-year-old male who enjoys golfing, gaming, football, and getting out and about. This is a great role for someone who's upbeat, patient, and happy to build a positive working relationship over time.

You'll be working in a relaxed family environment with two affectionate dogs and a cat who love a cuddle, so being comfortable around animals is essential.
