Hi, I’m Amelia and I am 12 years old and have Down's Syndrome. Although I am non-verbal, I have a bubbly, affectionate nature and can be cheeky at times. I communicate with sign language, including some of my own signs and British Sign Language. I have hypermobility issues which sometimes require me to use a wheelchair when I am out. I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support my mum and dad, giving them a break. The role involves 6 hours per week during term time and 12 hours per week during school holidays. Ideally, I would like support on a Saturday or Sunday, with the remaining hours flexible during the week. I enjoy playing computer games, doing jigsaws, going outdoors—especially for walks, to the beach, or to farms because I love animals and movies. I also like helping with gardening and small household tasks. The support needed includes:

• Taking me to activities
• Some personal care
• Ensuring my safety
