Penderels Trust in Flecknoe is seeking a Personal Assistant to support an adult male with a learning disability to live an active, fulfilling and independent life. The role provides encouragement, companionship and practical support rather than personal care.

He can look after himself with showering and dressing, but benefits from gentle prompting to get ready and start his day, plus help with local activities and outings.

Responsabilidades

• Provide encouragement, companionship and practical support to help the adult male live independently.
• Assist with daily routines, including gentle prompting to get ready and start the day.
• Enjoy local activities together, such as visiting places of local history, museums, historical sites, cinemas and swimming.

Are you a friendly, patient and reliable person who enjoys helping others get the most out of their day? We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support an adult male with a learning disability to live an active, fulfilling and independent life. The role is about providing encouragement, companionship and practical support, rather than personal care. He is able to look after himself with showering and dressing, but benefits from gentle encouragement and prompting to get himself ready and start his day. He has a keen interest in local history and would particularly enjoy having someone to explore local places, museums, historical sites and other areas of interest with him. He also enjoys going to the cinema and swimming, so there will be plenty of opportunities to get out and about and enjoy activities together.
