Job description

Job Title: Personal Assistant to the Director of LD&A Cumbria

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Personal Assistant (PA) to join our team across two services in Cumbria: Gregory House in Workington and Ann House in Kendal, with the latter being your regular place of work. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for commuting between locations.

Role Overview: As the PA to the Director of LD&A Cumbria, you will handle various tasks including diary and meeting management, coordinating report submissions to the board, preparing presentations, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate diaries, schedule meetings, and manage administration, including note-taking and action tracking
  2. Share information effectively across teams
  3. Arrange travel and accommodation
  4. Prepare presentations
  5. Travel may occasionally be required
  6. Process expenses, invoices, and credit card reconciliations
  7. Perform general administrative tasks such as handling post, filing, and telephone enquiries

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Significant administrative experience at executive and senior management levels (board experience is advantageous)
  2. Highly organized with a friendly and professional demeanor
  3. Proactive in anticipating and fulfilling requests
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences
  5. Ability to work flexibly across multiple tasks
  6. Excellent diary and time management skills
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
