Job summary

LILS/SD/AM1 — Female Personal Assistant required in the Slaidburn, Clitheroe area. The role is part-time and on-site, supporting a woman living with MS in her home and community. Tasks include personal care on tough days and light household duties, plus helping with shopping and appointments.

The role requires empathy, reliability and a good sense of humour. Mobility scooter users and access to mobility car are part of daily life, with opportunities to accompany the client to social activities.

• Reliable, patient, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Good sense of humour and flexible to varying days.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care on bad days (assistance with showering).
• Assist with daily household tasks (laundry, tidying, vacuuming, bedding).
• Support the client to access the community for shopping, appointments and social outings.

The client uses a mobility scooter and has access to mobility car and is looking for someone kind, reliable, sensitive, and supportive, with a good sense of humour. The role involves providing support with personal care on bad days, including assistance with showering, while on better days support may simply involve being present to assist when needed.

Duties will also include domestic household tasks such as laundry, general tidy up, hoovering and changing bedding, as well as supporting the client to access the community for shopping, medical appointments, and social outings such as going out for lunch.
