Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support a 37-year-old gentleman in the Pencoed area. The role involves helping with personal care, getting dressed, and assisting him to access local amenities and the community.

You will also help with meals, household tasks and social activities in a friendly, supportive environment. Experience in care is helpful and an enhanced DBS check may be required.

Introduction: A committed, caring and flexible Personal Assistant is required to support a 37 year old gentleman within the Pencoed area of Bridgend, who is easy going and has bundles of personality. The gentleman has epilepsy, but seizures are very few and far between. He is a wheelchair user, but is weight-bearing to walk, although he will need assistance with transfers. You will be required to support the gentleman to maintain his general health and wellbeing, by supporting him to access the local area. His interests are visiting the local coastline, our local heritage and he enjoys going bowling and socialising in the pub.

Benefits:

• 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro rata).
• Sick pay at SSP rate- if eligible.
