Job Purpose: To provide personal and social support for a young man, giving family respite.

Location: Norwich NR5

Details: My 17-year-old son has Ataxia, which can affect balance and coordination, and well-managed epilepsy. We would like to employ a friendly and flexible PA to support him with everyday activities both at home and getting out and about. He likes to be on his tablet/iPhone, enjoys helping, going swimming, and loves animals. He will need some personal care, particularly ensuring cleanliness after toileting.

Person specification:

• Well organised and reliable
• Shared interests
• Some experience with similar health conditions is an advantage
• Flexible

Summary terms and conditions:

• The rate of pay is £12.00 per hour
• Hours: 4 hours per week, flexible, possibly longer in holidays, less in term time
• Paid leave: 5.6 weeks per year, inclusive of bank holidays
• Free Careskills training

Additional requirements:

• Satisfactory enhanced DBS check (cost covered by employer)
• Completion of a 6-month probationary period

Schedule, Pay & Hours:

Time: Mon-Fri, flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and possibly overnight shifts. Pay: £12.00/hr. Weekly pay: £48. Monthly and annual figures prorated based on hours worked.
