Job description

A leading Top 200 Law Firm and provider of wealth management services is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their growing Personal and Business Dispute Resolution Team.

The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, proactive, and well-organised individual with experience across a broad range of litigation matters. The successful candidate will handle a mixed caseload of civil litigation including (but not limited to):

Commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes

Consumer law

Boundary disputes

Contentious probate

You’ll be responsible for generating new work, converting quotations, and contributing to the continued success and reputation of the team in line with the department’s marketing strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and develop a varied caseload

Maintain and grow client relationships

Meet agreed fee income targets

Keep up to date with relevant changes in law and practice

Maintain financial control through billing and account collection

Accurately record time and adhere to internal risk and quality procedures

Person Specification

Essential:

Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive

Experience managing a busy caseload independently

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to develop and maintain strong client relationships

Willing and able to undertake advocacy

Organised, solutions-focused, and able to meet deadlines under pressure

Desirable:

Experience using case management systems (such as SOS Connect)

Terms

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:15 pm (36.25 hours/week)

Location: Primarily based in Lincoln, with occasional travel to other offices

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
