Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfieldto assist with the appointment of aPersonal Advisor - Leaving Care Service, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £18.95 - £23.39 per hour

Summary:

Enfield Council is seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor to work with young adults aged 18-24 who have previously been Looked After by the Local Authority. The successful candidate will support young people through the transition to independent living, acting as a consistent point of contact and advocate. This includes holding a caseload of up to 25 young people, providing office-based and community support, and working closely with multi-agency partners to help service users meet their personal, educational, health, and housing goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Hold a caseload of up to 25 young people leaving care.
  • Provide direct support in the community, at home, and at council offices.
  • Develop and implement individualised pathway plans to promote positive outcomes.
  • Coordinate and lead multi-agency networks to ensure a holistic support approach.
  • Support transitions into education, employment, training, and sustainable housing.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience working with vulnerable young people with complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of legislation relating to Looked After Children and Care Leavers.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience in effective partnership working with housing, health, education, and social care services.
  • Competent in managing budgets and making financial assessments.
  • Ability to keep accurate, timely case records using electronic systems.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and empower young people.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
