We are working closely alongside with Royal Borough of Greenwich to assist with the appointment of a Personal Advisor-Care Leavers to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts (35 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: £19.30- £24.05 per hour

Summary:

The Personal Advisor (PA) will be responsible for supporting young people aged 16 and above who are eligible for leaving care services. The PA plays a key role in helping care leavers transition successfully into adulthood and independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an allocated caseload of young people eligible for leaving care services.
  • Assess needs and contribute to Pathway Plans that prepare young people for independent living.
  • Ensure Pathway Plans are regularly reviewed and amended as needed.
  • Track young people up to age 21 (or 25 if in education) and maintain regular contact.
  • Ensure diverse needs are met in line with equality and inclusion principles.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in social care, youth work, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with young people, preferably in a leaving care or youth support setting.
  • Experience in developing and reviewing individual care or transition plans.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and statutory responsibilities such as the Children Act 1989 and The Care Leavers (England) Regulations 2010.
  • Skilled in partnership working with other professionals and agencies.

  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
