Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Enfieldto assist with the appointment of aPersonal Advisor - Leaving Care Service, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £18.95 - £23.39 per hour

Summary:

The Personal Advisor plays a vital role in supporting young people leaving care, helping them transition to independent adulthood. This includes providing statutory casework to a caseload of up to 27 young people, developing and implementing pathway plans, coordinating multi-agency support, and promoting each individual's welfare, education, housing, and well-being. The role is dynamic, involving both direct work and strategic case management in a highly collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of care leavers aged 1624, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in line with relevant legislation.
  • Develop and implement personalized pathway plans addressing individual needs, risks, and aspirations.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous electronic case records.
  • Undertake direct support work with young people in a variety of settings, including homes and community spaces.
  • Provide emotional and practical support, including guidance on housing, health, education, training, and employment.

Qualifications:

  • Evidence of continued professional development relevant to work with young people (equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above).

Experience:

  • Significant experience working with vulnerable young people with a variety of complex needs.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate and timely electronic records.
  • Direct experience supporting young people in community settings, with a focus on independence and resilience.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
