Job Opportunity: Personal Advisor Aftercare Team

Duration: 3 months (ongoing contract)

Hours: Full time

Location: Thurrock Council (flexible working available)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate Personal Advisor to join our Aftercare Team and provide excellent support to care leavers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an Outstanding service, helping young people achieve their full potential and successfully move towards independence.

Responsibilities
  • Providing one-to-one support and guidance to care leavers.
  • Formulating, implementing, and reviewing Pathway Plans.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of allocated cases.
  • Supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes in education, training, employment, health, and housing.
  • Working within the Signs of Safety model, contextual safeguarding, and Think Family approaches.
  • Promoting independence and ensuring care leavers feel supported during their transition to adulthood.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with young people, ideally within social care or a similar support role.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to supporting care leavers to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced working environment.
