Job Description: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – Tier 3 Hospital
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE + Generous Benefits
Full-Time or Part-Time Considered
We are currently seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at a well-equipped Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital in Nottinghamshire. This is a permanent position with a day rota including weekends. While full-time hours are preferred, our client is also happy to consider part-time applicants who are a great fit for the team.
About the Role
You'll join a rota with no night work, thanks to a dedicated out-of-hours team.
A medical bias is desirable and support for a certificate is available.
The hospital operates as a hybrid between first opinion and referral, offering an excellent caseload and the opportunity for advanced case work.
Our Facilities
The main hospital boasts:
Advanced imaging and diagnostics: high-end ultrasound, digital and dental radiography, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, bronchoscopy
Electrocautery, laparoscopy, slit lamp, tonometry
A fully equipped in-house laboratory capable of running: T4, SDMA, Cortisol, Bile Acids, CPLi/FPLi, Coags, urine sediments, and more
Imagyst for rapid haematology and cytology interpretation
Their largest branch is similarly equipped and supports excellent standards of care.
The Team
A collaborative team of 17 vets (both full and part time)
Several certificate holders in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia and Dermatology
The surgical team regularly performs advanced procedures such as BOAS, TPLO/CCWO, patella and fracture repairs, liver lobectomies, TECAs, and more
Access to laser therapy, acupuncture, and physiotherapy
Strong focus on teamwork and professional development
Exciting future developments include a planned CT suite with completion expected by early 2026.
