Job description

Practice: This 4 Vet practice is situated in Bridgend close to the beautiful South Wales coastline, near Cardiff, where they are proud to deliver the highest quality care to patients in their newly built surgery.

Facilities: The practice has recently undergone a revamp creating a spacious environment that includes 4 excellent consult rooms, a kennel and cattery, 2 theatres, a dirty prep theatre, a full in-house lab, an isolation area, a washroom, and a fully fitted kitchen for staff relaxation.

As the practice aims to conduct as much investigation work as possible before referrals, a CT is regularly available to give vets better scope to support patients. Other available equipment includes:

  • ECG
  • Digital x-ray

Team: The practice has a great team made up of 2 vets, 4 nurses (2 students and 2 qualified), 10 VCAs, a separate reception team, and a very experienced practice manager to ensure the right candidate will be well supported.

Hours: The role offers real flexibility to the right candidate, with options for short or long days, full-time or part-time hours, and the possibility of extended lunch breaks for personal time.

OOH: No OOH, and they are currently closed on Sundays.

Sole Charge: Some.

Applicant Requirements: They are looking for a vet with a caring, compassionate, and friendly client communication style, along with a practical and down-to-earth attitude.

Salary: Up to £70,000 p/a (FTE) depending on experience and skills.
