Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Willenhall

Practice Type: Part of a group
Facilities: The practice offers a spacious, light, and airy environment with a surgical theatre, prep room, digital x-ray, dental radiography, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, ultrasonography (including Doppler), endoscopy, ECG, and a comprehensive in-house laboratory (microscopy, haematology, biochemistry, Idexx Catalyst). It is ISFM cat-friendly and RCVS accreditation is in progress. The team includes registered veterinary nurses with certificates in ECC, anaesthesia, Feline Nursing, and behaviour.
Team: The group has several vets at various career stages, fostering a collaborative environment where experience and knowledge are shared. They perform orthopaedic procedures like TTA and TPLO, and have specialists or trainees in exotics, ECC, imaging, medicine, ophthalmology, and visiting cardiologists using echocardiography and ECG.
Role: We seek passionate vets who care about patients and clients, eager to join a supportive team of vets, nurses, and staff. Some sole charge days are expected, requiring good surgical and medical skills. Support is available from nearby branches, and you will have the clinical freedom to manage cases fully, with a varied caseload.
Hours: The role offers flexibility, including part-time options. Typically, it involves a four-day week, shifts between 9 am and 6:30 pm, and Saturday rota from 9 am to 5 pm. No out-of-hours work is required.
Support: Opportunities for skill development, certification support, and funding are available.
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (FTE), depending on experience.
