Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Lincoln

Type: Small Animal

Location: Within a 20-mile commute of Lincoln

Practice Type: Independent - This is a local family business offering services for small animals. They care for all kinds of pets and offer a wide range of services for pets of every breed. They treat dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents, birds, reptiles some time wildlife animals if in need. Their dedicated and caring team of professionals offers vast experience and expertise. They offer a complete care portfolio and they are available 24/7 to deal with any emergencies that might arise

The Role: Theyare seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in providing high-quality care to small animals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to ensuring the well-being of animals under their care.

Hours: Full-time - Offering work-life balance with No OOH and Saturday morning only consults ( 9-12)

Duties:

  • Perform surgical procedures on a variety of animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, and small mammals
  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions in animals
  • Conduct laboratory tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Provide post-operative care and follow-up appointments for surgical cases
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment plans and prognosis
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
  • A mixture of consults and surgical cases
  • Sole Charge

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognised institution
  • Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
  • Proven experience working as a Veterinary Surgeon, with proficiency in surgical procedures
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
