Job Description:

Our client is looking for someone to have at least 4-6 years’ experience of Project finance transactions, as a member of front office team, or someone that has experience working within Credit Risk Management within the Project Finance team, gained within a reputable Bank.

Principle Purpose of the Job:

The Role

Permanent Structured Finance Assistant Manager Role within Project Finance - City of London based, global Foreign Bank.

The role is a mix of hybrid "working-from-home" and in the office, but for the initial 1-month of the contract, you will be required to be in the office 5-days per week to receive full training and onboarding.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions.
  2. Monitor existing project finance transactions.
  3. Put internal credit ratings on project finance transactions regularly and on an ad-hoc basis (if a credit event occurs).
  4. Attend lender meetings for monitoring purposes if needed.
  5. Create internal authorization processes to get approval from Branch’s management when a borrower issues a consent request for lenders.
  6. Assist the deal closing team in Structured Finance Division, such as KYC when closing transactions, funding requests to the Branch’s treasury, and drawdowns over the course of loan life.
  7. Conduct research on various topics and produce reports related to the Branch credit portfolio as required on an ad-hoc basis.
  8. Understand the Bank’s credit risk management framework, especially the Bank’s Internal Rating System.
  9. Attend meetings with relevant stakeholders such as borrowers, sponsors, and FAs if needed.
  10. Support the front team in Structured Finance Division to conduct due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions and make investment proposals for Branch’s credit committee.
  11. Manage documentation processes of project finance transactions with Branch’s legal team.
  12. Assist the senior manager with internal Branch reporting when required.
  13. Update the Policy & Procedures of Structured Finance Division as needed.
  14. Conduct regular/occasional internal self-checks.
  15. Provide general clerical support to the Senior Manager.
  16. Perform such other duties as the management may reasonably require.

Salary: £75,000 - £93,000 per annum, plus bonus, excellent pension, healthcare, and other related benefits.
