Permanent Senior Clinician in Diagnostic Imaging - Basildon, Essex

Type: Small animal referral practice

Practice Type: Part of a group

Located in Essex, UK, this renowned multi-disciplinary veterinary hospital is home to diploma holders across various disciplines, including oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue, anaesthesia, medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, dentistry, exotics, and multiple residency programs.

The practice is undergoing a significant transformation, moving into a state-of-the-art 40,000 sq. ft. referral hospital equipped with advanced imaging technology, including Siemens Magnetom Sola 1.5T MRI, Siemens 64-slice CT scanner, GE Logiq E10 ultrasound, Toshiba DR Rotanode E7239X radiography, Mobile C-Arm, Siemens Luminos dRF Max digital radiography and fluoroscopy, portable radiography, and ultrasound equipment. A new linear accelerator will enhance oncology services, reinforcing the commitment to high-quality patient care.

The Role: A leading veterinary referral centre seeks a board-certified or residency-trained veterinarian in Diagnostic Imaging to join their expanding team. This role offers a chance to contribute to a growing department with specialists, a radiographer, an intern, and dedicated nurses.

Hours: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical diagnostic imaging services
  • Develop and expand the Diagnostic Imaging service
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for excellent patient care
  • Supervise the Diagnostic Imaging intern
  • Maintain professional standards to advance patient care
  • Represent the Diagnostic Imaging team as an ambassador

This position offers professional growth within a collaborative, specialist-led team, working alongside radiologists, radiographers, nurses, residents, interns, and support staff.
