Job summary

Marlin Selection seeks a regulatory reporting analyst with 1–2 years in a related role, ideally in gas, power or emissions markets. You will oversee reporting processes to meet EMIR and REMIT deadlines, monitor errors, and collaborate with Tech, Front Office, Operations and IT to resolve issues.

The role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment in Greater London. UK-based candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in regulatory reporting or middle/back-office operations.
• Understanding of financial and wholesale energy regulations and trade lifecycles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; able to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

• Overseeing transaction reporting processes to ensure trades and associated reporting requirements comply with EMIR, REMIT and other relevant regulatory deadlines.
• Monitoring reporting errors, investigating discrepancies and working with Technical, Front Office, Operations and IT teams to resolve issues.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, strengthen controls and enhance operational efficiency.

You will need to have the following experience:

• 1–2 years of experience in a relevant analyst role, ideally within regulatory reporting or middle/back-office operations, preferably in the gas, power or emissions markets.
• An understanding of financial and wholesale energy regulations, trade lifecycle processes and energy market operations.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate or advanced Excel skills and experience with automation tools such as Alteryx would be advantageous.
