Job summary

CML, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our night-time operation in Telford, delivering to key retail customers across the UK.

This permanent, full-time role offers stable night shifts, a supportive transport team, and opportunities for night-out runs where available; you will be responsible for safe, compliant deliveries and completing paperwork.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence required.
• Current DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Newly qualified drivers considered with right attitude.
• No more than 6 points; no DD/DR convictions.
• Understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Complete nationwide deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres.
• Load and unload where required using PPT equipment.
• Report to the Transport team at shift start and update delays or issues.
• Complete paperwork and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
• Follow company health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage working time in line with DT Directive and tachograph rules.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects; manage unit/trailer.
