Permanent Head Veterinary Surgeon - Rainham, Essex

Type: Small Animal

Services: The practice provides a full range of services and its veterinary care is underpinned by the use of a full range of modern treatments.

Role: They are looking for a Head Veterinary Surgeon to join their team - this is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate to join a busy 24/7 first opinion practice.

Hours:

• Full-time, the rota is a mix of 8:30-5:30 / 10:30-7:30 / 12-9 shifts and 9-7 on sole charge days.

Duties: Each day is a mix of consultations and surgery. Facilities include 2 theatres, separate prep, 2 consult rooms, an isolation suite, a full in-house lab, ultrasound, digital x-ray, and all OHH equipment.

Candidate/Skills: The candidate (perm or long-term locum) will need to be a strong candidate in both internal medicine and surgery. Ideally with experience in brachy breeds and content with fertility work as they are 70/30 GP vs Fertility. They have great facilities and a very diverse caseload with access to as much surgery as a first-opinion practice can offer.
